Newcastle Design Conference Branding
Project Brief
This was a University Project during my first year. Our brief was to create a visual identity for an international Interaction Design conference that would have been held in Newcastle in March 2018. As this is a module from 3 years ago it won’t be as detailed as others on my site and I will only show the finished product.
The Goal
My goal was to create a futuristic brand for the conference, this branding would be very eyecatching and illustrative.
Tools
Sketch, Adobe Illustrator
My design process
I knew that I wanted to make something really visually pleasing for my design conference poster, so I started off by sketching the design and then transferring them to a digital design. The colour scheme came later on and I got the layout of the poster first.
Below you can see the brands evolution as I progressed through this module.
Final Conference Branding
I wanted my Interaction design conference to stand out and have fun branding, this was in order to engage as many people as possible. For this reason, I chose a bright colour palette and created many visual elements on the poster that could catch someone’s eye.
Below you can see the brand that I have chosen for this conference, it features space like visuals and is in a flat design.
How I met the Design Brief
The design brief was ‘to create a visual identity for an international Interaction Design conference that would have been held in Newcastle in March 2018’ and I have met the design brief by creating a strong and unique visual identity for my conference.
The conference is all about future design trends and technology, therefore I went for a futuristic and space theme for the visual brand to showcase this. I believe that I have achieved the module aims well and even though this was a module from the first year of University, I am still really proud of this.
